Our country is facing a crisis. Within a year, more than 100,000 people lost their lives to an overdose. This staggering number of loved-ones lost hits home with me. One of my dear friends lost his son, Garrett, to addiction very unexpectedly. This year marks the 7-year anniversary since Garrett's life ended too soon due to an opiate overdose.  Garrett's dad took this tragic loss and turned his energy into figuring out how to help combat addiction so others may not have to face the same loss he did.  Check out this video to hear from Garrett's dad, Gary, about his involvement with Shatterproof.

No one should die from a treatable disease and so I am raising $1 Million for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in our country. I’ve combined my passion for helping people with my passion for running by choosing to run marathons and fundraise for this important cause. My Miles for Shatterproof campaign has raised over $500,000 to date.

Please support my campaign and Shatterproof so together we can save lives.

I envision a world where addiction doesn’t mean judgment and we can think about it as a disease that’s impacting people just like cancer or heart disease and that we can rally around people instead of making them feel like they can’t talk about it or can’t seek the help they need.

Why should you care?

Addiction does not discriminate, most of us have been touched by addiction directly or indirectly and I'm hoping you will consider supporting this cause with me.

What can you do?

Consider making a donation to help me meet my fundraising goal. Whether you give $1,000, $100, or $25, any amount will help change lives. You can also help by sharing this page with your family, friends, and on your social media pages.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
